My hands shake and this is the first pair I can manage
Essential tremor, both hands, getting worse. The little behind-the-ear ones my brother has need you to open a battery door the size of a fingernail twice a week and I'd never have managed it. These sit in a case, I lift them out, they go in. Nothing to open, nothing small to drop into the carpet and hunt for. The tips took me two goes on the first day and then my fingers learned it.

My GP looked in my ears, took out a fair amount of wax on the left, and said a certified OTC pair was reasonable to try for what I had. Both of those things helped. I have a White Card but hearing was never an accepted condition for me and I did not have the paperwork to fight it. Twenty years of arguing with myself about whether to just pay for a private pair. Good device, the card should say more about the tips
The hearing part has been genuinely good since about week two. My complaint is that the card tells you there are twelve tips and shows you a diagram, but it does not tell you that most people need a different size in each ear. I worked that out myself after five days of a whistle on the right side. Put that on the card and you would get fewer returns.
