Thirty two years at the mill in Thunder Bay
Nobody handed out ear protection untill sometime in the eighties and by then the damage was long done. WSIB gave me nothing because I couldn't produce records from 1974. I've been putting off doing something about it for about a decade out of stubbornness and cost. These arrived in a box the size of a paperback and I had them in and working before the coffee was done. High end is where my loss is and that's exactly where I got something back. They are not a clinic device and they're not sold as one.What they did for me was take the effort out of ordinary conversation, which was the thing wearing me out. The arena is the hardest room there is and I got most of it
My grandson plays atom hockey in Bradford and that arena is concrete, glass and a hundred parents. I told myself if these worked in there they worked anywhere. They didn't give me everything, I want to be straight about that, but I could talk to the fellow next to me on the bench without turning my head and cupping my ear. Last year I just sat there. Two weeks of my own voice sounding like a tin can
Nobody warned me about this and I nearly sent them back on day four.Your own voice comes back at you strange and its genuinely off-putting. I read in these reviews that it passes and gave it two weeks. It passed somewhere around day ten and I havent thought about it since. If you're on day three and hating it, thats the thing that is happening to you and it is normal.

Ontario ADP would have given me $500 and I still could not close the gap
For anyone in the same spot: ADP covers seventy five percent up to $500 a side, so a thousand for the pair. Sounds like a lot until the clinic quote is $5,400. I was still on the hook for four and a half thousand and I'm on CPP and a small work pension. I did the paperwork, got the approval, and then just couldn't make the rest of it work. Tried these while I saved. Six months later I've stopped saving because I don't need to. They are not a clinic device and I am not going to pretend they are, but they got me back into conversations and that is what I was buying.
